Difficult in these ever changing times to keep up with things. Demanding work, family, taxes, taxes, taxes (Wait..did I say taxes?).
I never got around to do a proper ECG report in the end, to be fair, it can be summarised in a few lines. If you'd rather see the vlog, it's this way --> Part I and Part 2 .
I'd recommend ECG to anyone. Like most competitions, It really is what you make of it, and how seriously you decide to take it. Of course, I took it so seriously this year, it actually almost bankrupted me ( which explains the lack of new content).
The all experience is very nice, the people are caring and the friendly atmosphere is there, everywhere. You meet people everyday, make new friends, and have so much fun.
The day of the final was another story. The heatwave didn't improve the mood, neither did the joke of the prejudging.
The party that followed was very pleasant. everybody blows up steam and alcohol. (which, by extension, meant watching a LOT of French people getting Drunk and Dancing.) Bound to make everything better instantly. : D
Most people speak about doing such competition twice. And I can completely understand why. You make all the possible mistakes everywhere the first time, so you can come back and make the most out of it the second time.
Now, time to move on to the next project....finishing the already started ones, and finding the fun back.
And that my friends...will probably be the most difficult task.
